Improve Services, Supports and Systems for People with Disabilities

Disability Studies is an emerging interdisciplinary field that explores disability from a social and cultural context and builds competencies in a model that advocates for social and systems change to support individuals with disabilities.

Enhance your understanding of barriers for people with disabilities to provide person-centered solutions.

Help people with disabilities reach their full potential as active members of the community.

Become more competitive in the workforce and increase your career opportunities.

The program has provided a deep understanding of disability law, the lived experiences of individuals with disabilities across the lifespan, and the systems that shape those experiences. This foundation empowers me to be a stronger advocate — not only for my own family, but for the broader community.
