All students are required to submit copies of their theses or dissertations electronically in Portable Document Format (PDF) to ProQuest after the initial paper draft of the thesis has been approved by the School of Graduate Studies.  After submission of the PDF copy to ProQuest, full-text versions will be available through MOspace, the digital institutional repository of the University of Missouri System. Recent UMKC theses and dissertations may be seen here.

Does your research involve human subjects?

If so, please check with the appropriate institutional review board to see if your research requires IRB approval before you begin.

What is the difference between Class Related Instruction Assignments and Research Projects at UMKC that involve “Human subjects?”

Read the IRB Statement here.

To comply with the US Department of Health and Human Service’s regulations for human experimentation surveillance, the University of Missouri-Kansas City has the responsibility for reviewing all proposed projects and campus activities involving human subjects.
