Standardized Tests
Per the UMKC Graduate Academic Regulations, standardized tests (with the exception of the TOEFL for some students) are not required. Many programs, however, choose to use standardized tests, such as the GRE. The predictive validity of the standardized tests have been called into question in recent years. Below are some helpful readings when considering the use of standardized tests in the admissions process.
