Graduate Writing Initiative

The Graduate Writing Initiative (GWI) is a collaborative effort to support the writing of graduate students at UMKC. Faculty in the disciplines partner with the School of Graduate Studies, the Writing Studio and the Graduate Writing Specialist to provide a wide range of programming in support of graduate students learning the knowledge and skills necessary to excel at the graduate and professional levels.

Graduate Student Council - your graduate student organization on campus
As the Manager of Nationally Competitive Awards, McLain Hymer helps students identify and apply for prestigious external scholarships and fellowships. These awards can help students fund graduate study, research, and various work and study abroad experiences. Students of all backgrounds, interests, and goals are encouraged to consider these awards, and McLain hopes to provide a positive and developmental application process that will benefit students whether they are chosen as a winner or not.
