Graduate Studies

At UMKC we understand that each person’s academic, professional and career goals are unique. Our Natural Sciences Ph.D. program enables students to work across multiple disciplines and develop an academic focus that is just as individual as they are.

The Natural Sciences Ph.D. program takes a multidisciplinary approach to earning a doctorate. Students are admitted to a primary discipline from the list below. At the time of admission, applicants may choose a secondary discipline from this list. However, a secondary discipline is not a necessary designation, if the student and advisor agree that coursework in multiple areas would be better for research and career goals.
